About
Precise about the work. Discreet about the people.
You will find here no first names, no portraits, no biographies. It's deliberate, and it's the same rule we apply to our clients: what we give you to judge is work you can open (products, public code, deliverables), not faces. Those objects are gathered on a page of their own.
The set-up
A small team, backed by a network.
Z29K is a small team, backed by a network of partners wherever a job calls for a skill we don’t have.
That’s all there’s to say about it, and deliberately all. Not saying who we’re is one thing; letting you think we’re bigger than we’re is another. Nowhere here will you read “our teams” in the plural, or “our department” to mean one person. The legal notice is public and verifiable: nothing on this site should contradict it.
The experience
What has been built, repaired, migrated.
Years of practice. Sites picked up from teams that had gone, email systems migrated without losing a message, domain estates pulled back together, automations still running.
What those years produce in practice is set out on How we work.
The relationship
Who answers, and how it goes.
You talk to the person who will do the work. Not to a sales intermediary who will pass it on afterwards, not to someone you will never see again after signing. It’s the easiest commitment to check: ask the question, and ask it elsewhere too.
A project runs in four steps (we talk, we scope, we build, we stay), and the deliveries are visible as they come, never a black box. The person you deal with doesn’t change along the way, including when a partner is involved.
Step 01
We talk.
Long enough to understand where you stand. No commitment.
Step 02
We scope.
What needs doing, in what order, for what budget. In writing.
Step 03
We build.
In visible deliveries, not a black box. A brochure site is counted in weeks.
Step 04
We stay.
Monitoring, updates, changes.
The network
When someone else is involved.
We call on partners when a job calls for a skill we don’t have, never to get work we can do ourselves done on the cheap. If a partner is involved, it’s said beforehand, not discovered at delivery. They’re chosen for what they know, not for their rate, and they work with us, not in our place: you don’t have to manage a chain of subcontractors.
For the trades we don’t practise (advertising, lead generation, marketing, graphic design, training, IT support), we charge nothing: we put you in direct contact, and what follows happens between you and them.
Tell us about your project, or your problem.
Describe your situation in a few lines, however it comes to you. You get a first reading in writing: what we understand, what we would do, where to start. Not an automatic acknowledgement, and no sales follow-up: an answer you can use, even if it stops there.
