Website audit
What your website is worth, measured page by page.
Nine dimensions, a score resting on observed facts, page by page: what holds up, what exposes you, what can wait.
What we look at
Nine questions you're already asking.
A site is judged on several fronts at once, and they're not all visible on screen. Each dimension settles a concrete question: you're already asking it, or your customers are settling it for you. And each rests on a public text (a law, a standard, a specification): our criteria are not personal preferences.
Security and encryption
Are exchanges with your visitors protected? What your site reveals about its configuration, and what should stay closed.
Performance
Does the site appear fast enough to keep the visitor? Measured under the conditions of a phone on the move, not on the office fibre.
Search visibility
Do search engines understand your pages well enough to rank them? We record what's actually served to them, not what the site believes it publishes.
Accessibility
Is the site usable with a disability? The framework is public: the international WCAG rules and their French counterpart, the RGAA.
Compliance and privacy
Are the legal obligations met? Cookies, consent, mandatory notices: the GDPR draws the line, and we record which side the site is on.
Domain and network
Are your domain name and your email protected? One missing setting is enough for your mail to land in spam, or for the domain to slip away from you.
Independence and resilience
Where does your data live, and who do you depend on? Hosting, third-party services, points of failure: what commits you without your having chosen it.
Content and trust
Does your content carry authority, for your readers and for the AI systems now quoting it? Freshness, evidence, signals of trust.
Experience and reliability
Does the journey actually work, mobile included? Error pages, dead links, forms: observed by browsing, not assumed.
The method
Measured, not declared.
We open every page in a browser, as a visitor would, and we record what actually happens there: what loads, what’s displayed, what goes off to third parties. The pages are scored one by one, and each dimension receives a score out of a hundred according to a documented, stable scale, applied to the facts recorded during the audit.
The trade-off, and we accept it: what we could not establish, we write down. An unverified point is flagged as such, never counted as compliant.
The measurements come from deterministic tools. To them we add an AI-assisted reading, which cross-checks the measurements against each other, and the pages against each other. It is what spots the discrepancies no isolated check sees: a text promising what the site’s behaviour contradicts, a figure that changes from one page to the next. It invents no measurement and sets no score: what we hand AI, and what we don’t.
The score
A score that weighs what matters to your business.
Not every site is scored on the same scale. On a brochure site, being found is what’s at stake, and search visibility weighs heavily. On an application people log into, security takes over: nobody looks for their account area in a search engine. On a public-sector site, accessibility becomes the first item, because the law requires it.
The report publishes the scale that produced your score, item by item: a score is never read without it.
The scope
Without intrusion, and asking nothing of you.
The audit is non-intrusive: we look only at what your site shows any visitor. No attempt to gain access, no form submitted, no account created, no order placed. That’s information in itself: the report describes what a competitor, an insurer or a customer can observe from the outside, without asking anyone for anything.
Nothing is installed at your end, and nothing is asked of you: no code to add, no extension, no access to your hosting, no password. Probing what an ordinary visitor can’t see is a different job: it’s not part of the audit, and is requested separately, on written agreement.
The deliverables
Three documents, written to be passed on.
- The audit report: the overall score and the scale that produced it, what exposes you and what can wait, then each dimension scored and justified.
- The detailed page analysis: your pages one by one, what was observed on each and where. It’s the working document for whoever works on it next.
- The methodology note: how each point was verified, and with what limits.
Two levels of reading: the summary for deciding, the page detail for fixing. All three can be passed on as they’re to your teams or to whoever already looks after your site.
The method carries a version number, printed on the report. Your site, measured again later, is compared on an equal scale: a score that moves signals a real change, and if it’s the method that changed in the meantime, the report says so.
An audit records facts, measurements and observable indications. It’s neither a compliance certification, nor legal advice, nor a penetration test.
Ordering
Have your site measured.
The scope is chosen by the number of pages to be examined, the order is placed online, and payment is only taken when the report is delivered. Larger sites, and those behind restricted access, are handled in the same place, by quotation.
